Privacy Policy

Montana Funding Finder is being developed to help people discover potential funding opportunities. Account entry is available in this release. Questionnaires, personalized searches, saved opportunities, and payments are not yet enabled.

Information we collect and why

When you create or use an account, we process your email address, account identifier, authentication status, and account activity to provide account access, confirm your email, recover access, and protect the service. Supabase processes your password for authentication; the application does not intentionally log your password.

When you use Google Sign-In, we receive the identity information you authorize Google to share, such as your email address, name, and profile image. We use that information only to create or access your Montana Funding Finder account.

For personalized discovery, we process the profile and questionnaire details you choose to provide, including applicant type, Montana county or location, project goals and approximate cost, and relevant business, property, student, or membership information. We use those details to identify potential matches. Saved searches and saved opportunities are associated with your account.

Homepage category selection begins in your browser and is carried into the authenticated funding flow. Do not send Social Security numbers, bank credentials, or sensitive documents through account forms or support email.

Authentication, browser storage, and technical information

We use Supabase for account authentication and related data services. The authentication client stores session information in browser local storage to keep you signed in and refresh your session. Signing out removes the local session. Shared devices should be signed out when you finish.

Hosting and authentication providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device details, request timestamps, and error or security logs to operate and secure the service. We have not installed a separate advertising or behavioral analytics tracker in this release. We will update this policy before introducing materially different tracking.

Service providers and payments

We use infrastructure providers, including Supabase and our hosting platform, to operate the service. They process information needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users and the service, or in a business transfer subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Stripe processes payment information through its hosted checkout. We retain billing-related account references, such as Stripe customer, checkout, payment, and subscription identifiers and payment status, rather than full payment-card details. Verified Stripe events control paid access and subscription status in Montana Funding Finder.

Official funding sources and external links

Links to funding agencies and other websites take you outside Montana Funding Finder. Their privacy practices and application requirements apply there. Visiting an external source may disclose technical information to that site. We do not submit your profile to a funding provider merely because you explore a category or view a potential match.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while needed to provide the account and for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes. Retention depends on the type of data and purpose; backups and security records may remain for a limited period under provider retention processes after active records are deleted. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup.

To request account deletion, access, correction, or a copy of your information, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will explain any information we must retain and respond within the time required by applicable law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. You may also have a right to appeal a denied request. Send requests or appeals to our contact email; you may contact the relevant regulator if an issue remains unresolved. We do not implement personal-data sales or targeted advertising in this release. These statements do not limit rights granted by law.

Security

We use encrypted connections and provider authentication controls to help protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password, protect your email account, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Children and student opportunities

This account experience is not intended for children under 13. Parents or guardians should contact us if they believe a child under 13 has provided personal information. Student and scholarship categories describe planned discovery areas; they do not currently collect student questionnaire information.

Policy updates

We will update this page and its revision date as the service evolves. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially changing how we use personal information.
